Men’s Lacrosse Reveals 2017 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Athletics announced today the 2017 men's lacrosse schedule, which features seven contests to be played in Cambridge and two games against opponents who competed in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

"We look forward to 2017 and the opportunity to represent Harvard University," said Chris Wojcik '96, The Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Lacrosse. "We will once again play a national schedule and our program will compete against teams from five different conferences. Our out-of-conference games will be challenging as we prepare for our league schedule. The Ivy League continues to be very competitive both nationally and within our conference, and we are eager to begin our preparations on Feb. 1."

The Crimson slate opens with two contests on the road, first at UMass Lowell Saturday, Feb. 18 and next at Holy Cross Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Harvard opens its home slate with three-consecutive Saturday contests. The Crimson faces Massachusetts Feb. 25, followed by Vermont March 4 and Penn State March 11.

Harvard hits the road for a three-game stretch, starting Ivy League play at Brown Saturday, March 18. The Bears advanced to the semifinals in last year's NCAA Tournament after being defeated by the Crimson in the semifinals of the Ivy League Tournament. Harvard dips out of conference play to take on cross-town rival Boston University on Tuesday before heading to Hanover to take on Dartmouth March 25.

The Crimson returns home to host Albany Wednesday, March 29. Cornell heads to Cambridge Saturday, April 8 and Penn visits the following Saturday, April 15.

The Crimson travels to Princeton April 22 before returning home to conclude its regular season against Yale – an 2016 NCAA Tournament participant – April 29.

The Ivy League Tournament will be held Friday, May 5 and Sunday, May 7 and will be hosted by the Ivy League's regular season champion. The winner of the conference tournament will receive the Ancient Eight's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

All home contests and Ivy League road contests not picked up for TV will be broadcasted live on the Ivy League Digital Network.

Harvard will also host the 2017 NCAA Division I, II & III Lacrosse Championships at Gillette Stadium May 27-29.
