CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In the midst of a high-octane season, senior attack Morgan Cheek of the Harvard men's lacrosse team has been named an honorable mention Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American, as announced by the organization on Thursday.
Cheek leads the Crimson with 44 points this season, coming on 15 goals and a team-high 29 assists. The Wellesley, Massachusetts native ranks sixth nationally with 3.22 assists per game, and 15th with 4.89 points per game. On March 20 against Boston University, Cheek broke the program records for points in a game with 13, while also tying the all-time mark for assists in a game with eight. He is the only player nationally to record a 13-point outing this season.
The senior has seen a continued ascent through the Crimson record books, as he ranks fifth all-time in points and assists with 185 and 90, respectively. He is also four goals away from cracking the top-10 list.
Harvard is 7-2 this season, including a 2-0 mark in Ivy League play. The Crimson returns to the field April 7 at Cornell on the Ivy League Network.
