Men's Lacrosse Announces Trio of Captains for 2018-19

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - With the 2019 season approaching, Harvard men's lacrosse has announced a trio of team captains: Seniors Jonathan Butler and Spencer Daniel and junior Kyle Anderson.

"Congratulations to Kyle, Jon, and Spencer for being named Captains for the 2018-19 year," said Chris Wojcik, The Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Lacrosse. "The players have selected three great people to lead our team this upcoming year.  Over the course of their careers, the three of them have earned the respect and influence of their teammates on and off the field.   The Captains embody great character, a great work ethic, and they are great teammates.  They have hit the ground running and embraced their roles as leaders this fall.  As we begin our training this fall, our staff is eager to work together with them throughout the year."

Butler started all 13 games at defense a year ago, and led the Crimson with 15 caused turnovers. He was an All-Ivy League second team honoree in 2017. Daniel has appeared in seven games for the Crimson defense, including one start as a sophomore in 2017. Anderson scored a team-leading 34 goals in 2018, including six hat tricks and a seven-goal outburst against Boston University.

The 2019 campaign begins in Februrary, with the team's schedulel to be announced at a later date.
