CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Gearing up for the upcoming 2020 season, the Harvard men's lacrosse team will depart on a preseason training trip this weekend, Feb. 1-2.
In preparation for its first exhibition game, the Crimson will start with a practice at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. on Friday, Feb. 1. Following practice, the team will travel to New York City to visit the historic 9/11 Memorial.
While in New York City, Captain Thomas P. Byrne (ret.), the brother of Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Lacrosse Gerry Byrne, will host the team for lunch at his former firehouse: Engine 315 Ladder 125 FDNY in Jamaica, Queens.
Concluding the preseason training trip, the Crimson will face off against Stony Brook in its first exhibition game of 2020 in Stony Brook, N.Y.
The Crimson will officially open its season on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at in-state foe Massachusetts. Harvard's home slate begins with a five-game homestand on Saturday, March 7 against Fairfield. Season ticket packages for the home men's lacrosse schedule are now on sale.
