PRINCETON, N.J. – Oliver White of the Harvard men's soccer team has been named the Ivy League Co-Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.
The attacker from Belmont, Massachusetts put home his first goal of the season at the start of the second half against No. 23 SMU. Classmate Michael Klain's long throw-in found the head of White, who buried it past the Mustangs' goalkeeper. The tally put Harvard on top 2-1 at the time.
White fired five shots over the weekend, two of which were on frame. The score was the seventh of his career.
The Crimson returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. at Ohiri Field. The game will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
