CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Sam Brown and Junior Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu of the Harvard men's soccer team have been selected to the NSCAA All-East Region third team, the organization announced on Thursday.
A two-time All-Ivy League second team choice, Brown earns his first all-region award after scoring one goal and dishing four assists for six points. A key asset on both ends of the pitch, Brown served as one of Harvard's set piece takers and helped contribute to six shutouts on the defensive end.
Earning all-region recognition for the second-straight season, Wheeler-Omiunu adds to his list of accolades after earning first team All-Ivy honors in November. Pairing with Brown in central midfield, the junior tallied one goal for two points and helped lead Harvard to the best goals-against average in the Ivy League.
Harvard men's soccer tallied a 9-6-2 record on the season, including a 5-2 mark in Ancient Eight action.
