CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's soccer associate head coach Jonathan Delano has been selected as the 2015 NSCAA East Region Assistant Coach of the Year, as announced by the organization on Thursday.

"I knew that when I hired Jon I was getting one of the top coaches in the country and this award certainly confirms that," said Peter Lehrer, The Virginia B. and James O. Welch, Jr. '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer.

"We are all very happy that Jon was given this award by his peers."

Delano finished his third season with the Crimson in 2015, and second as associate head coach. Helping to engineer a dramatic turnaround from the winless Ivy teams of 2011 and 2012, Delano has pushed the Harvard program to three-consecutive top-three conference finishes, including a 5-2 second-place mark in 2015.

Harvard landed an Ancient Eight-best eight players with All-Ivy distinction, including two on the first team, as the Crimson displayed the conference's most prolific offense and equally stout defense. Harvard went 9-6-2 overall and finished No. 38 in the national RPI rankings.
