PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 3 Harvard men's squash closed league play on the road against Brown Sunday afternoon, with sole ownership of the Ivy League title on the line. The Crimson seized the day, sweeping the Bears, 9-0, and taking home its 40th Ivy League title in program history.
The Crimson dominated throughout the match, logging 3-0 sweeps at eight of nine positions and surrendering only one game. Freshman Madhav Dhingra broke a three-match skid with his 3-0 sweep at the No. 1 position, helping Harvard win its seventh consecutive match.
Senior co-captain Tyler Olson's dream season continued Sunday afternoon, pushing his undefeated record to a team-best 9-0. Freshmen Seif Eleinen and David Ryan also hold undefeated records heading into the final match of the season against Trinity.
Senior co-captain Sachin Patel saw his first action of the season, making a start at the No. 9 position and earning a 3-0 victory.
Harvard goes undefeated against the Ancient Eight for the second consecutive season, marking the Crimson's third consecutive Ivy title and the second consecutive outright title.
