Sophmore Devin McLaughlin made quick work of his opponent at the No. 6 position winning 3-1 and putting Harvard ahead 1-0. The rest of Harvard's third flight struggled, with Seif Eleinen falling 3-1 at the No. 9 position and Bradley Smith faltering by the same score at the No. 3 position, giving St. Lawrence a 2-1 lead.
The Crimson's second flight suffered similar results going 1-2, pushing the Saints lead to 4-2. At the No. 2 position, Dylan Murray was defeated 3-1. Junior Matt Roberts put up a strong fight at the No. 8 position. After losing the first game, Roberts bounced back, taking the next two for a 2-1 lead. Momentum was not enough for Roberts as he eventually lost 3-2. Bryan Koh struck back for the Crimson, after tallying a gritty 3-2 victory at the No. 5 position, cutting St. Lawrence's advantage to 4-3.
Freshman Madhav Dhingra faced off with the Saint's Amr Khaled Khalifa at the No. 1 position with a spot in the Potter Cup final on the line. Dhingra was strong out of the gate taking the first game 11-9. He would go on to drop the next three to Khalifa though, securing St. Lawrence's victory.
With the match in hand, the Crimson took the final two matches to bring the final score to 5-4. At the No. 4 position, David Ryan earned the only sweep of the night winning 3-0. Senior Tyler Olson closed the night with a Crimson win after fighting off the Saint's Duncan Maxwell at the No. 7 position, 3-2.
