No. 3 Men's Squash Takes Down No. 4 Columbia, 6-3, Claims Third at Potter Cup Championships

HARTFORD, Conn. - No. 3 Harvard men's squash closed the season with a 6-3 victory over Ancient Eight opponent No. 4 Columbia. With the win, Harvard takes third place at the 2015 CSA Men's Team Championships.

Sophomore Devin McLaughlin gave Harvard an early 1-0 lead after scoring his third consecutive 3-0 sweep at the No. 6 position. Junior Sam Goldberg took the court, for the first time during the Potter Cup tournament, at the No. 9 position, scoring the Crimson's second sweep of the day. Bradley Smith closed out his fantastic rookie campaign with a 3-0 sweep at the No. 3 position, pushing Harvard's lead to 3-0. 

The Crimson's second flight faced tougher opposition, going 1-2. At the No. 5 position Bryan Koh gave the Crimson a commanding 4-0 lead with a 3-1 victory at the No. 5 position. At the No. 8 position, Matt Roberts was narrowly defeated, 3-2. Dylan Murray suffered a familiar fate falling 3-2 at the No. 2 position, cutting the Crimson's lead to 4-2, heading into the final three matches.

Madhav Dhingra competed at the No. 1 position this afternoon, falling 3-0. Freshman David Ryan took the court at the No. 4 position with a chance to clinch a Crimson victory. Ryan did not disappoint, earning a quick 3-0 victory and a third place finish at the Potter Cup tournament.

Senior captain Tyler Olson closed the day with his final collegiate match at the No. 7 position. Olson capped an amazing final campaign with a 3-1 win, securing Harvard's 6-3 third place finish.
