No. 5 Men’s Squash Takes Down No. 1 Penn

Harvard upset No. 1 Penn for its first win of the season (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 5 Harvard men's squash handed No. 1 Penn its first loss of the season, topping the Quakers, 6-3, at the Murr Center Squash Courts to earn its first win of the season.

Harvard (1-1) earned its first Ivy League win of the season, while handing Penn (6-1) its first conference defeat.

Bradley Smith and Bryan Koh led the way for Harvard's top three as each earned a pair of hard-fought victories in 3-2 decisions at the No. 2 and No.3 positions, respectively.

No. 5 through No. 8 earned the rest of the wins for Harvard as each member of the Crimson swept its opponent. Dylan Murray and Seif Eleinen both earned their first wins of the season as Murray secured the win at the No. 5 position and Eleinen picked up the win at the No. 8 position.

Devin McLaughlin continued to stay undefeated this season with a victory at the No. 6 positions and Alexi Gosset earned his first-career win at the No. 7 position.

Harvard will return to the Murr Center Squash Courts tomorrow to take on No. 7 Princeton at noon.
