No. 1 Men’s Squash Dominates No. 3 Columbia, 8-1

Junior Madhav Dhingra cruised at the No. 3 spot against Columbia with a 3-0 victory (Gil Talbot).

– The No. 1 Harvard men's squash team earned its eighth consecutive victory as it dominated No. 3 Columbia, 8-1, at the Murr Center Squash Courts on Saturday afternoon.

Harvard (8-0, 4-0 Ivy) took sole possession of first place in the Ivy League by defeating the Lions (8-2, 3-1 Ivy). The Crimson has continued to prove it will be a force to deal with as the postseason approaches, knocking off ith its sixth top-ten opponent with the victory.

The Crimson recorded five sweeps in its matches against Columbia, along with two wins by a 3-1 margin. Senior captains Bryan Koh and Devin McLaughlin recorded sweeps at No. 7 and No. 9, respectively, as each remained undefeated on the year.

Freshmen Timothy Brownell and Sean Hughes rolled to wins to remain unbeaten on the year as well. Freshman Saadeldin Abouaish earned his sixth win of the season at No. 1, and senior Dylan Murray cruised at No. 8 to move to 6-1.

Juniors Madhav Dhingra and David Ryan also earned wins in their respective matches, as Dhingra collected his fifth win of the season and Ryan notched his sixth.

Harvard men's squash will be back in action tomorrow to take on No. 11 Cornell at noon.
