No. 1 Men’s Squash Sweeps No. 4 Princeton, 9-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Harvard men's squash continued its streak of excellence on Sunday, blanking the fourth-ranked Princeton Tigers, 9-0. The Crimson (4-0, 3-0 Ivy) added onto its perfect record with the win, its 20th in a row.

The nation's top-ranked team came out firing, winning the first three matches at the fifth, eighth and second pairings to take a 3-0 lead. Senior captain Sean Hughes won 3-1 at the sixth position while first-year Ayush Menon swept his opposition at the eighth position, 3-0. Marwan Tarek picked up another win with a 3-0 win in the second pairing.

Next on the board was Victor Crouin, who outscored his opponent 34-20 to remain perfect on the season. Captain Timothy Brownell's win in the sixth pairing clinched the win for the Crimson.

Julien Gosset, Samuel Scherl and Liam Rotzoll all picked up wins on the day.

Harvard Highlights

  • Harvard has now won 20 consecutive matches dating back to 2018-19.
  • Through four matches, Harvard has won 34 of 36 pairings.
  • This is the second 9-0 win of the season for the Crimson (Dec. 3 vs. Dartmouth)
  • First-years Ayush Menon and Liam Rotzoll remain a perfect 8-0 on the season
