CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Former Harvard men's swimming and diving coach Mike Chasson, who led the Crimson to six Ivy League crowns and an 11th-place NCAA finish during his tenure, recently returned to speak with the current team.
Chasson, who is in town for the Harvard University Athletics Hall of Fame induction of Alex Kurmakov '99, addressed a number of topics, including making good choices for the team as a unit – how winning is a true team effort – and how to be successful at Harvard and in life.
The wealth of resources and tradition combine for a unique atmosphere in Cambridge, as Harvard remains one of the few institutions in the country where former student-athletes and coaches return to impart wisdom on a regular basis.
