ATHENS, Ga. – Continuing its success on the boards this weekend, the Harvard divers wrapped up the UGA Fall Invite on Sunday in style. Once again, Hannah Allchurch was the top Crimson finisher, this time taking fifth overall on the 1-meter. On the men's side, freshman David Pfeifer placed 10th on 3-meter with his performance.
Allchurch compiled the third-highest total in prelims with a 276.90, finished out in fifth with 266.05 in the finals. Teammate Elina Leiviska took eighth on the 1-meter, while Alisha Mah finished in 15th. Behind Pfeifer's 10th place finish – for which he earned a score of 312.95 – senior George Doran took 16th.
On the platform on Sunday, freshman women's diver Jing Leung shined, taking fifth place, which was more than good enough to earn a spot in the NCAA Zone Qualifier at the end of the season. Leung earned a score of 261.40, while the qualifying score is set at 225.
The Harvard divers, along with the swimmers who have now wrapped up the Texas and MIT Invites, will rest through the holidays until their respective training trips to begin the year, and the first meet of 2015 versus Duke and South Carolina.
