CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Set to open the 2015 portion of the season this weekend after a week off for training trip, the Harvard men's swimming and diving team will head out of conference to take on both Duke and South Carolina in Durham on Saturday. The Crimson (3-0, 3-0 Ivy League) will square off with the two southern schools starting at 1 p.m.
Harvard is coming off a thorough handling of Ancient Eight foe Columbia at Blodgett Pool at the end of November. The meet, which was one of three home contests on the calendar, saw the Crimson claim first place in 14 of 16 events on the day against the Lions, taking it 207-88.
Winners of seven consecutive dual meets dating back to last season, the Crimson will put its record on the line when it meets the stiff competition this weekend. Host Duke comes into the weekend 4-2, while South Carolina owns a 3-2 mark. Harvard finds itself as the only ranked squad on the weekend, according to the CSCAA, pulling down the No. 19 spot nationally.
