CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior diver Mike Mosca has been named to the Capital One Division I Academic All-District first team for the second year in a row, the organization announced Thursday. Mosca is one of four Ivy League athletes to earn the distinction this year.
A record-holding diver at Harvard, Mosca was tabbed to the first team last season as well, and was the ECAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2014. The Tenafly, New Jersey, native became the first athlete in Ivy history to win a Ivy Championship single diving event four times (1-meter), and the third athlete in Ivy history to sweep both 1- and 3-meter events at Ivy Championships.
Mosca's 3.84 GPA as a History and Science concentrator has helped the Crimson to earn a top-5 national GPA ranking every semester he's been in Cambridge. A 2015 Rhodes Scholar finalist, Mosca will attend medical school following his graduation from Harvard this year.
