Houck, McNamara Lead Men’s Swimming at U.S. Olympic Trials

Sophomore Logan Houck was Harvard's top performer at the Olympic Trials (Athletic Communications).

OMAHA, Neb. – The United States Swimming Olympic Trails came to a close over the weekend with 16 Harvard men's student-athletes competing against the nation's best in front of packed crowds at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Sophomore Logan Houck posted the Crimson's top finish, claiming sixth in the 1,500 freestyle event with a time of 15:13.89. Houck also registered a strong finish in the 400 free with his mark of 3:56.28.

Junior Shane McNamara was also among the top times in 200 breaststroke, touching in 18th position with a time of 2:15.15. Alum Alex Meyer '10 also posted a top-20 mark with his 15:30.62 in the 1,500 free.
