DENVER – The Harvard diving team put forth a strong showing Wednesday at the University of Denver, sweeping the Pioneers in all four events.
Junior Bobby Ross took home first place on both the one- and three-meter boards for the Crimson. Ross edged classmate David Pfeifer on the one-meter by .45 points with his score of 279.75. Manasseh Oso claimed third. On the three-meter, Ross posted a 298.58, once again finishing ahead of Pfeifer who recorded a 287.63.
On the women's side, sophomore Katie Russ earned first-place accolades on the one-meter with her score of 258.90, topping teammate Alisha Mah by just over three points. Mah, though, would earn the victory on the three-meter with a tally of 267.30. Freshman Megan Galbreath finished second, while Russ turned in a third-place performance. The win was Mah's second in as many days, as she finished first on the one-meter at Utah Tuesday.
Harvard will be off until Jan. 13-14 when they dive back into Ivy League action against Penn and Brown in Philadelphia.
