NORFOLK, Va. – Claiming its 25th Ivy League crown in 2017-18, the Harvard men's swimming and diving team posted the second-best GPA in the nation as the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the Scholar All-America Team award on Tuesday.
First amongst Ivy League institutions, the Crimson posted a 3.62 mark during the spring semester where it also secured its third Ivy title in five years. Grand Canyon led all of Division I with a team GPA of 3.66, while the next closest Ivy school was Yale (3.55).
Harvard was one of 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions to earn the Scholar All-America team honors for the spring semester. The CSCAA recognized teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or better over the course of the semester.
The CSCAA will announced its individual Scholar All-Americans in a release next week.
