CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior co-captain Riley Moore has tabbed his second player of the week accolade, earning the Off the Block/Molten National Middle Attacker of the Week, as announced by the blog today. Moore was previously named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Moore led the Crimson attack to a pair of significant conference wins this weekend over Saint Francis (Pa.) and Penn State. The Santa Monica, Calif. native tied his season-best 10 kills on Friday night against the Red Flash, hitting .692 for the match with only one error. The middle blocker then continued to dominate on Saturday against Penn State, when he set a new career-high in kills at 14 and notched zero errors for the sixth time this season, allowing him to hit .875 on the night. Moore currently ranks first in the EIVA in hitting percentage at .452, good for third in the nation.
The Crimson will return to action this weekend, April 6-7, hosting Princeton and NJIT in two league matches. Contests are slated to begin at 7 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
