No. 15 Water Polo Falls to No. 9 UC Davis at Julian Frasier Memorial

SARATOGA, Calif. – The No. 15 Harvard men's water polo team ended the Julian Frasier Memorial Sunday afternoon, falling to No. 9 UC Davis, 16-7.

Junior Nick Bunn and sophomore Charlie Owens paced the Crimson offense with two goals each. In goal, junior Anthony Ridgely made six saves.

Sophomore Austin Sechrest and freshman Dennis Blyashov notched goals in the opening period, but trailed 5-2. UC Davis built on that lead and took a 9-3 lead in the halftime break.

The Crimson scored three times in the third frame, but still trailed 13-6 before eventually falling, 16-7.

Harvard Highlights:
- Senior Harry Tafur registered two assists.
- Colin Chiapello had a goal and assist versus UC Davis, the only Crimson to do that in the game.

Game Notes:
- The all-time series between Harvard and UC Davis is now tied at 5-5.
