No. 13 Men's Water Polo Snags 11-4 Win Over Fresno Pacific

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- On the final day of the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament, the No. 13 Harvard men's water polo squad grabbed an 11-4 victory against the Sunbirds. The Crimson returns to Cambridge with a 17-7 record overall.

Jackson Enright recorded the first two goals of the morning match against Fresno Pacific, putting the momentum in the Crimson's favor. Noah Hodge allowed only one goal, while Alex Tsotadze and Nathan Ondracek recorded the remaining tallies in the first quarter, leading 5-1.

Harvard kept the Sunbirds at bay until the last two minutes of the first half when Uros Pelemis notched two goals in attempt to close the 10-3 gap. As Harvard saw the final Crimson goal from Nick Bunn, Fresno Pacific struggled to break through the strong defense adding only one more goal from Paul Siebenaler, ultimately falling to Harvard.

  • First-year Noah Hodge recorded a career-high 18 saves in the morning duel.
  • Jackson Enright tallied four goals against the Sunbirds with two steals, an assist and a block.

Four Harvard men, Nick Bunn, Grant Harvey, Nathan Ondracek and Anthony Ridgley will compete at Blodgett Pool for the final time Oct. 27 against St. Francis at 12 p.m. and Iona at 5 p.m. A ceremony honoring the quartet's contributions to the program will take place prior to the contest against Iona.
