CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After tallying its fifth consecutive 20+ win season in 2018, Harvard men's water polo has announced its 2019 schedule according to Ted Minnis, The Friends of Harvard Water Polo Head Coach.
The Crimson will hit the Blodgett Pool water to open the season on Sept. 8 with a doubleheader against Cal Lutheran and McKendree at 10 a.m. and 2:15 p.m., respectively. The following weekend, Sept. 14-15, the team will hit the road for the first time, traveling to Princeton, N.J. to compete in the Princeton Invitational against UCSD, Navy and Fordham. On Sept. 21-22, the Crimson will head south again, this time to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Bucknell Invitational.
Early October will see the Crimson on the road for two consecutive weekends to begin NEWPC action, competing against Princeton, St. Francis and Iona on Oct. 5-6 and Brown on Oct. 12. Harvard men's water polo will host the Harvard Invitational on Oct. 19-20 at Blodgett Pool, with matches slated against George Washington, Pomona, Bucknell and LaSalle.
The Crimson will complete regular season play at home against MIT on Sun., Nov. 10 and postseason action will start at the NEWPC championships, which begin Fri., Nov. 22.
All home matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
