PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 10 Harvard men's water polo team defeated Brown, 12-5, in its first match of the weekend. The Crimson is now 13-0 on the season and 4-0 in conference play, the only undefeated team in the CWPA.
Junior Bruno Snow led Harvard in scoring with three goals, tying a career high. Senior captains Charlie Owens and Austin Sechrest and sophomore Alex Tsotadze contributed two goals to the Crimson's victory while sophomore Michael Sonsini recorded three assists. In goal, sophomore Noah Hodge recorded a total of 13 saves and blocked a 2-meter penalty shot. Hodge also got on the scoresheet with two steals and an assist.
After jumping out to an early one goal lead to start the game, Brown matched the Crimson goal-for-goal and a successful penalty shot by Tsotadze tied it up at two after the first quarter. Snow went on two score two in a row in the second quarter to give the Crimson a 5-3 lead and Brown trailed for the rest of the match.
Hodge held Brown scoreless in the fourth quarter, and Harvard added to more goals to its lead.
