CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard sailing student-athletes Lena Episalla and Eli Burnes were named ICSA All-Americans for their efforts during the 2018-19 campaign. Episalla was part of the 19-member ICSA All-American Crew, with Burnes landing on the coed honorable mention skipper list.

Episalla, who participated in commencement ceremonies in May, finished her final season in Cambridge by becoming the first Crimson sailor to earn All-America crew status since Sydney Karnovsky '16 back in 2016. The Rock Hill, New York native and all-NEISA first-team crew selection is also the 15th All-America crew honoree in program history.

As for Burnes, the rising junior completed his sophomore campaign by becoming third the Crimson sailor in the last two years to garner coed Honorable Mention All-America recognition, following in the footsteps of Nick Sertl '18 and Christine Gosioco '19. Earlier this season, Burnes, who is the 18th Honorable Mention All-American at Harvard, captured all-NEISA second-team skipper honors.

Episalla and Burnes increase the Crimson's season All-America total to three after Emma Kaneti was named an ICSA Honorable Mention All-American Skipper at the conclusion of the Sperry College Sailing Women's National Championship back in May.
