PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior pitcher Laura Ricciardone has been named Co-Ivy League Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday, April 7. This is Ricciardone's second such honor, as she first earned Pitcher of the Week accolades on March 24.
Ricciardone was phenomenal in the circle last week for the Crimson. Over the course of 19.1 innings, she did not allow a single earned run to cross the plate, posting a 4-0 record and two complete games. She racked up 14 strikeouts and held opposing hitters to a .216 batting average.
Her stellar pitching helped the Crimson go 6-0 last week with sweeps over Rhode Island, Cornell and Princeton. She also went 2-for-6 in her own at bats, hitting a home run against the Big Red.
On the year, Ricciardone is 8-5 with a 2.47 ERA. She has racked up 47 strikeouts and has tossed seven complete games in 14 starts.
Next up for the Crimson is an out-of-conference matchup against UMass Thursday before heading to Providence this weekend for four games at Brown.
