Senior pitcher Taylor Cabe was named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced today (April 24).

Cabe was excellent in the circle for Harvard in two appearances this week at Brown, earning two wins - one in relief, and one as a starter. Cabe pitched two innings in relief on Saturday, allowing no earned runs, striking out one and scattering three hits, allowing Harvard to rally from a 4-2 deficit to earn a 7-4 win over the Bears.

On Sunday, Cabe pitched one of the best games of her career. She pitched a complete game, two-hit shutout, striking out five batters in seven innings to earn her sixth win of the season. Cabe set the Bears down in order in the second, third, fourth, and sixth inning, allowing just two base runners total through the first six innings. Cabe closed out the game in the seventh with runners on first and second and two out, inducing a groundout to finish her outstanding game.

Cabe ranks seventh in the Ivy League with a 3.78 ERA, and leads Harvard with 47 strikeouts on the season.

Harvard will play a road game at Brown in a rescheduled game on Thursday at 4 p.m. before playing home-and-home doubleheaders against Dartmouth to cap off the regular season this weekend (April 29-30).
