Softball's Lantz, Duncan Garner Ivy League Accolades

PRINCETON, N.J. – Juniors Meagan Lantz and left-hander Kathleen Duncan garnered a pair of Ivy League honors to begin the 2018 season announced on Monday afternoon.

Lantz earned Player of the Week honors after posting a .438 (7-16) batting average with a double, and four RBI over the course five games at the Citrus Classic. In an 11-8 win over Miami (OH), the southeastern Florida native tied her career single-game best going 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Additionally, the Crimson second baseman was outstanding in the field, recording 14 putouts, while turning three double plays. 

Appearing in all five games in the circle, Duncan secured Pitcher of the Week honors, posting a 2-3 record with 15 strikeouts. Against Duke, the northern New Jersey native came one strikeout shy of tying her career single-game high, fanning six Blue Devils, while walking only two.

Harvard returns to the diamond on Friday, March 2 with the three-day, North Carolina Invitational. The Crimson will face Elon and, host, North Carolina on day one. First pitch slate for 2:30 against Elon.
