CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After being crowned the 2018 Ivy League champions, Harvard softball has announced its 2019 lineup.
The Crimson will kick off its season in Florida at the Jacksonville University Invitational. Harvard's first games will be against Long Island University and Jacksonville on Feb. 22. Harvard will continue its sunshine state campaign with match ups against North Carolina A&T, a rematch against host Jacksonville and will conclude the tournament facing Delaware.
Harvard will continue its road swing the following weekend, traveling to Washington D.C. with game action starting March 2 against Bucknell and moving onto host, Georgetown, March 2. Harvard closes out the weekend with a double header against Howard and St. Joseph's on March 3.
Before kicking off its league play, Harvard will make its way to the west coast for a five-day campaign. During the Easton Invitational hosted by Cal-State Fullerton on the weekend of March 15-17, the Crimson is set to play the host, Cal-State Fullerton, Charleston, Iowa State, DePaul and concludes with Long Beach State. On Tuesday, March 19, Harvard will face Loyola Marymount and Boise State, concluding its west coast trip.
The Crimson returns to the northeast to open Ivy League play at Penn on March 23-24. Harvard's home opener at Soldiers Field is scheduled for the following weekend against league foe, Brown on March 30-31. The squad takes a break from league play with a mid-week game against Holy Cross on April 2. The home Ivy contests resume with a three-game series against Columbia, April 6-7.
Boston University takes a trip up the road to Cambridge to face the Crimson for a mid-week contest on April 9 with the first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m. Ivy play continues for Harvard, hitting the road to Hanover, N.H. in a rematch of the 2018 Ivy League Championships taking on Dartmouth. The following week sees a mid-week contest at Providence and closing out a busy April against the Princeton Tigers.
The squad returns to Cambridge for its final two weekends of the regular season, concluding its Ancient Eight stretch with contests against Yale and will celebrate senior weekend with another three-game series versus Cornell, May 4-5.
