Softball Travels to No. 6 Arizona In Regional Opener of NCAA Tournament

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- After earning back-to-back automatic NCAA Tournament berths, the Harvard softball team (25-17) will head to Tucson, Ariz. for the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Crimson begins its regional play on Friday, May 17 at 11:30 p.m. EST against No. 6 Arizona (42-12) at the Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium. The broadcast will air on ESPN2 and on the ESPN app.

Harvard makes its second appearance over seven years and its seventh automatic berth in program history after sweeping Columbia during the Ivy League Playoff series in afternoon contests this past Friday and Saturday. Harvard captured game one, 10-7, before collecting its fourth five-inning victory in the past seven games in the 11-1 success during game two.
