Softball Announces 2020 Schedule

Softball 2020 schedule.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- After back-to-back Ivy League championship titles and NCAA Regional appearances, Harvard softball has released its 2020 schedule.

First pitch will take place the weekend of Feb. 21-23 at Florida Gulf Coast, where the Crimson will meet the likes of Michigan State, UMass Lowell, Fordham, Southern Illinois and Florida Gulf Coast.

After that, Harvard will travel back up the coast to Boiling Springs, N.C. for the Gardner Webb tournament. On Feb. 28 the Crimson will face off against Furman and Gardner Webb. The following day the team will take on NC Central and Gardner Webb. On the final day of the tournament the Crimson will play NC Central before heading to California.

In Harvard's third tournament of the season from Mar. 13-15, the Crimson will be in Fullerton, Calif. On day one the Crimson will step to the plate against Boston University and Cal Baptist. After that the team will play Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton on March 14 in day two of the three-day tournament. To cap off the weekend, the team will play Sacramento State on March 15.

The Crimson will travel up the coast to face LMU and North Dakota State in Los Angeles on March 17 to finish off its road trip.

On March 21 Harvard returns to Cambridge for its home opener and to begin Ivy League play in a three-game series against Penn. Following this brief homestand, the team will travel to Providence for a three-game series with Brown from March 28-29. Then the Crimson will return back to Boston and take a trip down the road to Boston University on March 31. 

The Crimson resumes conference play on the road in New York against Columbia from April 4-5. Harvard will host in-state rival Holy Cross on April 7 in its first of a six-game homestand. Ivy League rival Dartmouth comes to Cambridge from April 11-12 for a quick three-game series, followed by Providence for one game on April 14.

In its final home games of the season, Harvard hosts Princeton from April 18-19. To finish off the regular season the team will face Yale from April 25-26 and Cornell from May 2-3 before heading into post season play.
