Korolev Earns USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week Honorable Mention

NEW ORLEANS – Senior Maksim Korolev earned honorable mention for USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week after downing the Harvard and Ivy League record in the 3K, crossing in 7:51.52 at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.

Besting the Crimson record set in 1997 by nearly six seconds, Korolev beat Dartmouth's Will Geoghegan at the line for the third-fastest qualifying time in DI.   

Korolev has already put his mark on the Crimson and Ivy League record book this season, most recently dismissing the 5000m records with a time of 13:42.56 Jan. 25.
