Both the Harvard track and field men and women had the top team GPAs in the Ivy League.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard track and field was honored for its achievements in the classroom this past academic year, as both the men's and women's teams earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, while 12 student-athletes were named scholar athletes.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, the student-athletes compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better, while also participating in an NCAA Championships meet or finishing the season ranked in the top 96 of an individual event in the country.
Teams earn all-academic recognition by maintaining a squad GPA of at least 3.00.
Both the Harvard men (3.51) and women's (3.59) teams had the highest GPAs of any Ivy League institution. The men's team had the fourth-highest team GPA in the nation, while the women's team was 16th among Division I institutions.
For the men's team, Rodney Agyare-May, Will Battershill, Erick Duffy, Jay Hebert, Matt Hurst, Hugo Milner, and Jovahn Williamson earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. On the women's team, Simi Fajemisin, Abbe Goldstein, Zoe Hughes, Anna Juul, and Maya Miklos earned recognition.
