Indoor Track and Field Wins Three Events at Scarlet and White

BOSTON – Harvard indoor track and field won three events at the Scarlet and White meet hosted by Boston University on Saturday at the BU Track and Tennis Center.

Rodney Agyare-May and Ryan Thrush got Harvard off to fast start, placing first and third in the first scored track event, the 500m run. Agyare-May won the event with a time of 1:03.09, while Thrush closely followed in third with a time of 1:03.93.

Jovahn Williamson and Myles Marshall also won events for the Crimson. Williamson finished first in the 400m with a time of 47.66 and Marshall won the 800m with a time of 1:49.27. 

Agyare-May, Williamson, and Marshall teamed up with Kahlil Wassell to close out the meet and place third in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:15.98. Marshall was one of two people to run a split in under 47 seconds, finishing his 400m in 46.734 seconds, the second leg of the relay. 

The women's team was highlighted by its 4x400m relay of Tina Martin, Olivia Okoli, Karina Joiner and Sharelle Samuel, placing fourth with a time of 3:45.01.

What's Next
Harvard will compete at a pair of meets on Friday, Feb. 8, sending student-athletes to the Valentine Invite at BU and the Texas Tech Shootout in Lubbock, Texas.
