Fajemisin to Compete at NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

CAMBRIDGE – Junior triple jumper Simi Fajemisin will be Harvard indoor track and field's lone competitor at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama. The meet begins on Friday, March 8th and the triple jump will be Saturday, March 9 at 3:30 p.m.

What to Know
- Simi Fajemisin is the only Harvard student-athlete competing in the meet. She will be competing in the triple jump at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9.
- Fajemisin currently ranks 14th in the country in the event with a mark of 13.27m (43-6.50). She qualified for the NCAA meet at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships, winning the event and setting a new Harvard indoor/outdoor record.
- The Oxford, United Kingdom native won the Most Outstanding Female Field Performer at Heps due to her performance in the triple jump and her fourth-place finish in the long jump. 

What's Next
The Harvard indoor track season concludes and the team will take two weeks off until kicking off the outdoor season at the Victor Lopez Invitational at Rice University in Houston, Texas on March 22.
