Outdoor Track and Field Splits for UVA Challenge, LSU Alumni Gold

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard outdoor track and field is splitting up for the weekend, with team members going to either the UVA Challenge on April 19-20 or the LSU Alumni Gold meet April 20.

What to Know
- The Harvard men's and women's teams left New Haven last weekend with wins at Harvard-Yale. The men won, 95-68, while the women won, 105-57.
- Last weekend, Alana Carroll set a new program record in the pole vault with her mark of 4.01m (13-1.75). She is the first woman in program history to break four meters in the event.
- Against Yale, the Crimson went 1-2-3 in four events – the women's 100H, men's 110H, the women's 100m and women's 200m. Notably, in the women's 100m, Senior Ngozi Musa led the Crimson to a sweep of the top-five spots, crossing the finish line in 11.67 seconds.
- Erick Duffy improved on his PR in the pole vault, reaching a mark of 5.41m (17-9), but is still in second on the all-time Harvard list.
- Will Battershill's 8:49.97 from Harvard-Yale is the third-fastest in program history while Sharelle Samuel's 55.43 in the 400m is also the third-fastest from Harvard.
