EASTON, Mass. – Part of the Harvard men's outdoor track team competed at the Stonehill Invite on Saturday, April 27 for its final tune-up before the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships, winning three events and having seven finish in the top five throughout the meet.
Winning events on the day were Charlie Davis, Charles Lego and Michael Alber. Davis won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:20.08, while Alber would take the 3000m in 8:50.50. Lego would then go on to win the 400m hurdles with his time of 52.93.
Continuing its success in hurdles, Trè Hollingsworth would finish third in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.33 seconds. Harvard would then have a pair of fourth-place finishes as Liam Hackett placed fourth in the 800m in 1:56.78 and Mason Rodriguez would run into fourth in the 400m with a time of 51.69 seconds. Max Serranu-Wu would also compete in the 400m, crossing the finish line in 52.20 seconds in fifth.
- The Crimson would win three events on the day, including the 3000m steeplechase, 3000m and 400m hurdles
- Charles Lego's time of 52.93 was enough to win the 400m hurdles.
- Charlie Davis would go on to win the 3000m steeplechase by more than 40 seconds, crossing the finish line in 10:20.08 with second finishing in 11:04.94.
- Michael Alber crossed the finish line in 8:50.50 to win the 3000m.
The Stonehill Invite is Harvard's last tune-up before they travel to Princeton, N.J. for the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Track and Field Championships on May 4-5.
