Darcy Wilson is in her fourth season as an assistant throws coach with the Harvard track and field team. Her primary focus is the men's and women's throws-shot, discus, hammer & weight.
The 2018-19 season saw success behind Wilson's leadership as freshmen Sam Welsh won the HEPS discus throw on the men's side, 2nd place shot put /Male Field athlete of the meet; National Qualifier-6th place All-American at NCAA (top finishing freshmen in the country); Outdoor Nationals USA discus qualifier/12th in the country while being youngest qualifier.
Wilson joins the Harvard staff after spending the earlier four seasons at Brown, where her student-athletes broke program records in the men's and women's discus, men's hammer and women's javelin. Finding success across multiple events, Wilson's tenure saw 40 athletes added to the program's all-time top-10 lists, with a handful of throwers qualifying for NCAA Championships.
Prior to her stint at Brown, Wilson coached three years apiece at Massachusetts and Keene State with a National Hammer champion. She is an active member of USA Track & Field Coaching.
