Women’s Basketball Begins Road Stretch At Dartmouth

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Looking to continue its four-game winning streak, the Harvard women's basketball team will make a return trip to Dartmouth this Saturday, Jan. 26 to face the Big Green in Hanover, N.H.. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m., while the contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

What to Know
- The Crimson currently sits three spots above the Big Green in the Ivy League standings at third place with an 8-6 overall record and 1-0 conference mark after defeating Dartmouth in its conference opener last Saturday.
- Harvard now sits at 26-19 all-time in Ivy League openers and 23-14 under head coach Kathy Delaney-Smith after the Crimson topped Dartmouth last Saturday, 56-46, to kick off its conference slate.
- Junior guard Katie Benzan paces Harvard's offense with 14.1 points per game, while senior Sydney Skinner and sophomore Jadyn Bush join Benzan in double figures with 12.1 and 10.4, respectively.
- Defensively, Bush leads the Crimson with 8.5 rebounds per game, while junior Jeannie Boehm has registered 1.8 blocks per game.
- This past Saturday, the Harvard women's basketball team celebrated the endowment of its head coach position, The Friends of Harvard Women's Basketball Head Coach. Upon the retirement of head coach Kathy Delaney-Smith, the position will be re-named in honor of her and in recognition of her unparalleled tenure with the Harvard women's basketball program.

Leading the Way
The Friends of Harvard Women's Basketball Head Coach Kathy Delaney-Smith returns for her 37th season at the helm of the program after leading the Crimson to its third-straight, and eighth in the last 10 years, WNIT appearance last season. The winningest coach in Ivy League basketball history with 585 career victories, Delaney-Smith passed former Princeton head coach Pete Carril (514) for most wins by an Ancient Eight coach on either the men's or women's side during the 2013-14 season.

Harvard will continue its road stretch next weekend, Feb. 1-2, with contests at Yale and Brown. Friday's contest in New Haven, Conn. is slated for 6 p.m., while Saturday's tip-off in Providence, R.I. is set for 4:30 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
