
WORCESTER, Mass. – Kicking off postseason action, the No. 13 Radcliffe heavyweight crew earned a second-place finish at Eastern Sprints today, May 4 on Lake Quinsigamond.
In its varsity eight race, the Black and White finished 4.2 seconds behind first-place Rutgers, clocking in at 6:35.6 in its grand final. Radcliffe's varsity eight picked up one first-place finish in heat two with a time of 6:36.9.
The Black and White's second varsity eight boat recorded Radcliffe's sole first-place victory of the day. Clocking in at 6:37.9, Radcliffe's second varsity eight finished 4.9 seconds ahead of Rutgers to capture the win.
Radcliffe's third varsity eight boat and varsity four B boat each registered second-place finishes in their races, while the Black and White's varsity four A tallied a fourth-place mark.
