INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Earning an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Rowing Championships, the No. 14 Radcliffe heavyweight crew has been selected for the championship, as announced by the league at the NCAA Selection show today, May 21. The Black and White will head to Indianapolis, Indiana from May 31-June 2 to compete in the field of 22.
The Black and White's varsity eight will enter competition as the No. 14 seed, while its second varsity eight will represent the No. 13 seed. Rounding out competition, Radcliffe's varsity fours will race as the No. 17 seed.
Radcliffe will race in the NCAA regatta for the first time since 2015 and the 18th time in program history. Radcliffe earned a varsity eight bid in 1997 and then team berths in eight-straight seasons and again in 2007-09 and 2011-15. Radcliffe won the NCAA team and varsity eight championships in 2003.
