Women’s Heavyweight Crew Completes Action at Head of the Charles Regatta

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Radcliffe heavyweight crew on Sunday wrapped up competition at the 55th Head of the Charles Regatta. The Black and White raced in two events on the Charles River and posted a pair of top-15 performances.

The varsity four, coxed by Salome Garnier, turned in a time of 19:47.767, which was the 14th-fastest effort in the field. Washington won the race, completing the course in 17:33.168.

Nearly an hour later, Radcliffe took the water for the Championship Eight event, which featured 32 teams. Starting ninth overall in the head race, the Black and White ultimately finished in eighth place, clocking in at 15:47.198. Coxed by Katherine Paglione, Radcliffe finished sixth among collegiate crews. USTC – Princeton posted the top-2 fastest times in the field.
