No. 4 Radcliffe Lightweight Crew Reaches IRA Grand Finals in All Three Boats

All three boats will compete for national championships Sunday (Zack Williamson).

FOLSOM, Calif. -- The No. 4 Radcliffe lightweight crew saw all three of its boats qualify for Sunday's grand finals at the 2017 IRA National Championships, held on Lake Natoma.

In the varsity eight heat, the Black and White took second, finishing in 6:40.134, while Boston University won the heat in 6:34.806. Radcliffe will face BU, Georgetown, Princeton, Stanford and Wisconsin in Sunday's grand final at 11:40 a.m. PST.

The varsity four boat placed sixth in its heat, crossing the line in 7:37.214, to earn a bid in Sunday's grand final. Stanford won the event with a mark of 7:13.484. Sunday's national championship race will be held at 8:50 a.m. PST and will also include Boston University, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, Tulsa and Wisconsin.

Radcliffe's lightweight double took fifth in its heat to reach Sunday's final. The Black and White duo came in at 7:55.340, while the Cardinal took the heat in 7:35.032. In the grand final, Radcliffe will race Boston University, MIT, Princeton, Stanford and Wisconsin. The race is slated for 8 a.m. PST.
