No. 4 Radcliffe Lightweight Crew Places Fifth at IRA National Championships

The Black and White nearly took fourth in the varsity eight (Zack Williamson).

FOLSOM, Calif. – The fourth-ranked Radcliffe lightweight crew finished fifth in all three of its boats at the 2017 IRA National Championships, hosted on Lake Natoma.

The varsity eight boat just missed out on a fourth-place finish, as the Black and White crossed the finish line in 6:36.671, while Wisconsin was in fourth at 6:36.444. Stanford grabbed the gold in the event in 6:25.396, followed by Boston University (6:30.608) and Princeton (6:32.890).

Radcliffe's varsity four took fifth in the grand final, as the Black and White finished the course in 7:45.419. Stanford won the event in 7:20.916, followed by Wisconsin (7:27.638), Boston University (7:32.735) and MIT (7:41.010).

In the lightweight double grand final, Julia Henry and Molly Lesser finished fifth, as the Radcliffe duo crossed the finish line in 8:02.664. Stanford won the race in 7:34.700, followed by Wisconsin (7:45.259), Boston University (7:50.503) and Princeton (7:55.756).
