No. 6 Radcliffe Lightweight Crew Wraps Up Racing at Eastern Sprints

WORCESTER, Mass.  – The No. 6 Radcliffe lightweight crew was in action Sunday afternoon at the Eastern Sprints Championships on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. The Black and White competed in four races with its third varsity posting the best finish, a third-place showing.

It was a neck-and-neck battle for Radcliffe's third varsity eight against Ivy foe No. 4 Princeton, but at the flag the Black and White edged the Tigers by 0.548 seconds with a time of 7:50.397. 

Radcliffe's first varsity eight placed fifth in its race, coming up less than a second shy of No. 5 Georgetown in fourth. No. 2 Boston University won the event. Radcliffe placed fourth in both the double and the varsity four races. In the varsity four, the Black and White was just over a second off of third-place Georgetown.
