Fencing Announces Volunteer Coach Michael Brand

Michael Brand brings experience and passion for competitive sabre fencing to the Crimson (Athletic Commnunications).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Peter Brand, head coach of the men's and women's fencing teams, has announced the hiring of volunteer coach Michael Brand. 

Prior to being hired, Brand worked for Peer-to-Peer Production managing client relationships and producing promotional videos.  Nationally ranked, Brand had the privilege of representing Team USA in sabre during the 2013 Maccabiah Games where his team won the gold medal. 

Brand recently graduated with a bachelor of arts in media studies from Penn State where he was also a four-year fencing letter winner. He was also part of the 2014 NCAA Division I Championship team and competed in locations including Europe, Middle East, and North America. 

Fencing opens up its season with a match at Penn State on Nov. 7-8.
