No. 7 Women’s Fencing Captures Final Home Win Over NYU

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The No.7 Harvard women's fencing team closed out home competition by besting NYU 22-5 this Saturday afternoon. The Crimson saw strong showings from the epee squad, who swept, 9-0, as the sabre team posted an 8-1 victory to ensure a Harvard win. 

Harvard Highlights

  • The 9-0 epee team's sophomore Cindy Gao and first-year Catherine Beddingfield recorded a +11 touch differential in the sweep over their competitors.
  • In sabre, first-year Veronica Czyzewski tabbed a +10-touch differential in her sweep against her opponents.
  • Junior Natalie Yang tabbed a team-high +12 touch differential with a perfect 5-0 score, while adding three victories over the Bobcats.
