No. 5 Women’s Fencing Travels to Poughkeepsie for NCAA Regionals

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- Looking ahead to NCAA Regional competition, the No. 5 Harvard women's fencing team travels to Vassar College with competition beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 10.

Harvard will send a collective ten members to Poughkeepsie, New York, including the sabre Individual Ivy Champion, Elizabeth Tartakovsky alongside second-team All-Ivy members Cindy Gao (epee), Cynthia Liu (foil) and Veronica Czyzewski (sabre). In addition to the trio, Harvard will be represented by Gabrielle Tartakovsky in sabre, Natalie Yang and Liana Semel-Henderson in foil and Catherine Beddingfield, Saanchi Kukadia and Shawn Wallace in epee.

  • First-year sabre fencer Elizabeth Tartakovsky holds a 31-6 record and a +90-touch differential after posting 14 victories during the Ivy League tournament and another three against MIT.
