Harvard's freshman golfer Bonnie Hu has been named as a Freshman to Watch By Golfweek Magazine. One of just 20 newcomers nationally to be so recognized, Hu was a two-time HP Scholastic Junior All-American, earning the honors in 2008 and 2009.

On the men’s side, Seiji Liu was also named a Freshman to Watch, making Harvard one of just seven teams nationally to have a player named to both the men’s and women’s freshmen lists.

Hu finished her high school career ranked ninth in the country in the class of 2010 by National Junior Golf Scoreboard. She collected a pair of AJGA victories in 2009 with titles at the Under Armour/Hunter Mahan Championship and the AJGA Northeast Open. She was also the 2009 San Francisco City Championship Women's Champion.

In 2008, Hu was selected by the USGA to be part of the eight-person team representing the United State in the US-China Junior Championship in Beijing, China. That year she qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links and made it to the round of 32 in the 2010 tournament. Hu was also valedictorian of Mission San Jose High School.
